What it is...

Today was my first shift on the floor at Coach. It went really well; the biggest thing I'm concerned with/ need to work on is memorizing all of the names and prices for each item. It's out of control!! there are I don't know some 6 or 8 collections we're going to carry each with mulitple purses in each then depending on the style what color and material it comes in. Oh wait did I mention which bags have matching wallets and that there are key chains, belts, scarves and so much more...

The bottom line is that I have a lot of studying to do... But it couldn't get much better then having to study awesome bags! Well, at least for me :)

As of Late...

I haven't writen a blog in so long... How do I even begin w/ what is going on? Let's stat on this note. It's finally cool enough to occasionally turn off the AC. As I'm sitting down to write this blog I deside to open my window.... I love fresh air!! I go to open it to realize that it's been uplocked for atleast the last 4 1/2 months... That's awesome!! I love knowing that not only do we not really lock the doors our windows aren't locked either... good thing we live in a gated community!

My first quarter of design school ended a month ago. I'm now beginning the third week of my second quarter. Things are going well so far, it's a lot more fast pace then last quarter. I'm learning how to drape which is super exciting!! Draping is a method for making patterns that uses the dress form. My other two classes this semester are Sketching II & Construction II

Some other big news w/ me is my new job!! Everone that is reading this probably already knows that I was just hired as a sales associate for the Coach store opening at Wiregrass a new mall that is opening here in Wesely Chapel. Today was my first day, it went really well just paperwork, videos a walk through of a different store (0urs isn't open yet) and scheduling. My first day on the floor is 10-2 on Thursday! :D I'm wrapping up my old job in the next two weeks my last day is on Friday the 31st (Thank You Jesus). It's been a great experience and I've learned a lot but I was quickly coming to the end of what I could learn there.

I've met some good people at the church I'm going to LifePoint Church. I've joined a lifegroup lead by JB, its going really well. We're studying Job which is def. a terrific book!! I've already learned so much in the first three chapters. I'll get around to introducing the people I've met... but the truth of the matter is that who knows who will end up reading this...? I mean it's on the internet anyone could read it... haha

cutting an apple w/ a plasitc knife

Today is my birthday... I'm 22 years old. Where I am in my life right now is not where I ever would have imagined I'd be at this age. In all actuality there are only a couple of things in my life that have turned out the way "I thought they would" I guess I'm ok with that. I mean if I wasn't there really isn't much I can do to change it now. The times I thought were going to be different are behind me already so they are in the past. I can only create less, more vauge expectations about the future so that when it comes (the future) and is different from my expectations it doesn't matter as much.

I spent the weekend in Wilmy w/ some of my closest friends. It was terrific we did exatly what I'd hope we would do which is simply hang out. No pressure to do anything or rush anywhere. I was also able to attend a PC3 service for the first time at they're new building!!! It was amazing, Mike is such a great preacher I learned so much and it was exactly what I needed to hear. During worship they even played one of my favorite songs Lead Me To The Cross by Hillsong. The message was week two of "UWALK, Move Your Soles; The Right Fit" Mike talked about so many great things like God calls us to follow him so that we are focused on him and looking in his direction; when we do this we'll be ready when he suddenly turns left, right or breaks fast. When we're not following we get lost and b/c we haven't been focused on Him. Or how God's comands are really logical human behavior and how God dropped the bar on the ground and we still have to crawl under it. Oh, another thing is how we throw scripture at our lives/ actions to justify anything we do. He was extremely sarcastic but it was needed to get his point across that we need to follow Christ and look for the fruit in our lives to make sure that we're living the way He's called us to live!

6 Weeks Library Assignment

In each of my classes we have a library assignment, in Evolution of Fashion it's due week 6 which is a week from today minus 12 hours or something. Basically the project is to research a designer and build a project about them. It could be to replicate something they've made or make something that you thought they would make extra. The project should be hand made, creative and something that would be put into a display case. As far as the research is concerned you need to have about half a page typed up on your designer, I guess a bio on them.

Well....... I'm awesome and waited until the last minute to decided what designer I was going to do and what project I'd make. Christian Louboutin is the designer he makes beautiful shoes. Today I got my materials to recreate shoes that he made. !st of the materials where a lot more then I wanted to spend. $25-$30, and it's taking me for ever to paint them along with the fact that the color I picked for the sole of the shoe isn't quite right so I have to go and buy more paint and fix it :( I know I can make it work, I just needed to vent a little. Below is what I'm trying to recreate I'll let you know how it turns out!!

2 Weeks of Life in Nutshell

School: I'm on week 5 right now out of 11. This quarter has been really easy. Well, Construction I has been easy. It's pretty much a more in depth version of Costume Production which, I took last spring. The major difference is that we use industry quality machines which are very scary. They go about a thousand miles per hour and even when they're turned off the part where the needle goes still moves up and down when you press on the petal... Fashion of Evolution is also pretty easy the teacher lectures and we do a little discussion. Sketching is the most difficult, I really just need practice it's definitely coming along I'll post a new sketch soon. Hopefully tomorrow. I've made a friend at school, his name is Dave. He's about to turn 24 and lives quite a ways away.

Work: It's good say old same old. I'm up for an evaluation, it was supposed to be last Friday but we did not have it. I'm a little nervous to ask for it. I think I'm going to ask for it after I get back from Wilmy if we haven't done it already. I really like my job some days are better then others. It's kind of difficult to stay professional while working with your step-mom. But other then that which is just occasional whatevers... everything with work is good. At work I have a friend too. Her name is Kelli, I really like her a lot she is 6ish months pregnant with a little girl, it's her second kid she has a little boy and is married. We share and office and have a great time all day laughing and talking about work. Today at lunch we watched youtube videos, the dumbest thief ever is one of the best, also I showed her Tall Will's hardcore dancing videos she really liked them.

Family: Christine is doing well, she's coming down to get Ethan in 3 weeks. The boys are coming down that weekend to so we'll all be together for the first time since Thanksgiving. My step-mom and Dad are good. Nothing new w/ them.

Other: I dunno, that's about it. All I really do is work, go to school, and hang out at home. I'm so excited to visit Wilmy in a couple of weeks!! I'm not sure exactly where/ who I'm going to stay with or how I'm going to get around b/c I'm flying. Anyone free 1:30pm on Friday August 15th... that's when I get into the dub :D

Ok, I've slacked a little...

I'm sorry that I've gotten real slack on writing my blog. Things here in FL have just been going... Ethan my nephew has been down here since I got back from Wilmy. Which by the way was a blast!! Katie and Blake I'm sooooo excited and happy for you! He'll be here until the endish of August. Ethan is def. adorable and a really good kid but I just run out of patience, sometimes. He lies and squirms on the floor, jumps around, repeats things 50 times and asks the same questions over and over again. But I love him to death.

School is good so far my teachers are quite a bit of crazy; there's an older lady who it seems can be talked into anything, a sci-fi loving one who is very cheery and last but not least one who's voice gets really high pitched, over and over.
I've been working on sketching lately here's one that I did yesterday.

My job I like a lot and it's the craziest place I've ever worked. Even though I've never watched the office I feel like it's a lot like that. There's this one guy who will remain nameless, um we'll call him Soc.-A he is in his late 20s, loves anime and apparently can taste the poisonous potassium and magnesium in an overly ripe banana. That's why he can't/doesn't ea them! Also he is offically a creeper who randomly appears places like Mr. Bean.

I also figured out how to get pics off my phone I've also added a pic of me on my first day of work! :D it was awhile ago but it's still kind of special. It's kind of blurry b/c I had to snap it real quick while no one was in the room/ looking. haha

the longest 36 somethings hours of my life....

I'm not even going to go into details of how my trip home from Wilmy was I actually am going to try to say it in the fewest words possible:

58 lb luggage, delayed, missed flight by 20 min, 15 hours in the CLT airport, dirty, tired, broken car... :(

Now that I started off on a negative note... Katie and Blakes wedding was fabulous or what I like to call the marathon!! I had SOOOOOOO much fun being at home in Wilmington. Even though I no longer live there I'm going to continue to call it home. It really is home to me it's where my friends are, my church... Who-Hoo PC3, some day it's where I'd like to "raise my family" lol

Right now I'm at school IADT-Tampa or what I'm going to simply call the Academy, I have one class today Evolution of Fashion and on Thursday once I get my schedule chagned I'll have construction I and fashion sketching. I had to come to school really early b/c I'm sharing a car w/ my Dad, I'm not even going to get into that... but I have another 50 min to kill before class.

It's kind of like a city sized high school I'm guessing 2,500 students total. So, this morning I walk in w/ my ID on everyone must wear one at all times... I just acted like I knew what I was doing and went up to the Fashion Design floor and started walking around I need(ed) to waste time before class and I hit the Jack Pot. A whole open computer lab w/ a computer that was already logged on to the system. On a couple visits previously I've had difficulty logging on to the computers they have an interesting log on set up I'm not sure how to work yet. I just so grateful to have stumbled upon this computer :D thanks GOD!!!

The sun is kind of coming out it's really humid here in Tampa. I guess that's all for now, I'm going to go find a bathroom and continue to orient myself with this floor <3

God gave me a job :D

Friends,
I'm sorry that it has taken me a week to write another post. I am sure that you are all racked w/ anticipation about my new job and how things are going in my life.

My job is as an Admin. Assistant. Basically I do all the simplest tasks that are required for Ms. Gina and Allison's jobs. So that they can work on more important things. Such as; filing, making coffee, more filing, sorting and distributing the faxes, listening and taking down the messages, some more filing, keeping the break room clean, running errands, a ton more filing, picking up checks and data entry. So yeah, I like it so far. I have my own desk and computer. It is super, super, super low stress!! B/c the majority of the filing I do is just in-house stuff so there's no pressure to get it done super quick. Everyone is really nice too. God has really blessed me w/ this job and I'm so grateful. I has asked Ms. Gina on Sunday night if she couldn't get me a job at her work. She told me that Henry, the boss, owner, president, etc. doesn't like to higher family members so, No. I didn't think about it again. Monday morning after praying about a job; which over the previous 3 days I had given over all of my worry and concern to God. I got a phone call from Ms. Gina saying that she had gotten me a job and I could start on Tuesday. It's amazing, I don't know why I continue to but God in a box. He can do ANYTHING!! He is so much bigger then a part time job, a paycheck, $$ for school, whatever it is! I truly believe if we're not focusing on Him and allowing Him to provide for us He will put us in circumstances where we can do nothing less but turn to, and rely on Him! And once I did I got a better job then I ever could have on my own and I didn't even do anything to get it. No application, interview, nothing...

I have a picture of me on my first day it's on my phone but I don't know how to get it off. If anyone can do that I'd love to text it to you so I could have it on my computer. Lemme know...

I'm nearly finished w/ McKayla's dress just the zipper and hem left, I'll send it to you Monday!

I didn't go to that singles group this week... I just didn't feel up to it, but I'll be going to the lifegroup on Tuesday.

A pray request I have is to find the right/a job. I know it is all in God's timing so I've giving it over to him to figure it out. I'm finished and have little energy left to "worry" about jobs. The Lord will provide for everything I need and right now I'm just going to hang on to that.

Right now I really need to focus on my relationship with Christ, out of that everything will fall into place.

Little Friday

I still don't have a job. My step mom continues to tell me not to be anxious or worry which is true. It's just really hard!! I guess I just don't want to get into it...
Today finished up day 13 of TMD, I've done really well. Even though I cheated today, I ate an Odwalla bar and had a bit of cheese and sourcream; definitely less then a serving and by no means horrible. So I'm feeling good/ok about the cheat. Tomorrow is my last restricted day, I can't believe it's been two weeks.
My room is finally somewhat put together, I'm just working on keeping it that way. I've been working on a couple projects but my needle on my sewing machine got dull and I don't have any more. So I'll have to go get some tomorrow... McKayla, I've been working on your dress! :D
Oh so I've decided to donate plasma again b/c I need $$$$$$$$$$ I was going to go today but lets just say I had really bad cramps so, I'm going to go next week when I'm feeling better.

And I'll leave you with this, here in FL when you're trash gets broken into by "animals" this is what happens...

What I've Been Doing Lately...

• crocodile/alligator road kill
• continuing to look for a job, even just leaving my application on the counter at Payless b/c I couldn't find the associate
• spent a couple hours researching at home work, data entry envelope stuffing etc. to realize they're all scams
• almost finished w/ thank you notes 2 to go
• day 11 of TMD is OVER!! 3 more days and I get dairy and more fruit!
• accused well just commented on coming home late; when in all actuality was home at 10:45 pm
• found out Dad is going to Qatar for about 5 days, all the while he thought he'd told me (awesome!)
• finished the two decorative pillows for my bed YAY!

Putting Myself Out There

It's been awhile since I've written, lemme see if I can recap what's been going on. I spend a large amount of my days watching TV a little day time which sucks we all know that and a lot more prime time. I've been looking for a job like crazy and it's not going very well. Target said thanks but no thanks via a snail mail letter... Tomorrow my plan is to call all the places and inquire about my application(s). Also I need to make a phone call about getting Black Baby's brakes checked.

Last night I attended the Saturday night service of the church (Lifepoint Com. Church) I've started to attend. Afterward I went to the singles ministry? (the After Party) lol for 20s and 30s, I met a few people, they were nice... We went bowling last night it was pretty fun I bowled the 3 worst games that I've ever bowled in my life ever :(

Right now is the end of day 9 of TMD, It's gotten a lot easier but I'm still excited to eat different fruits and dairy. I haven't really cheated at all, some of the foods we have in the house are exactly what he calls for in the book but being that I don't have a job; I can't afford to buy all my own food and plus it's awkward.

Just Another Day

Today, was the day I decided that I was going to begin a "routine". Last night I painstakingly mapped out every min of my day from 7:30am until 7ish pm... Let's just say I deviated quite a bit. I'm ok w/ that I'm going to try again tomorrow.

Positives for the day:

• Applied to a bunch of places; macaroni grill, pier 1, michael's, muvico (local movie theatre), tomorrow I'm going to hit up a few more spots

• Day 5 of TMD sucessful!! I need to work on eating more veggies

• I've come to have peace about the infamous bookshelf; it's not going anywhere so I've decided to decorated it w/ my things here's what it looks like! I thought I would share a little piece of my room.

Tomorrow is day 6 almost half way through phase one!! Woo Hoo, dairy and fruit here I come!!!

the very busiest day...

Yesterday was the probably the busiest day I've had since I've been in FL. Black Baby needed to be picked up from the car place and the only ride I had was leaving the house at 6:15 am. So, I was ready to leave then I had to wait outside for an hour before they opened. This was probably the highlight of my day. You, might ask why didn't I just wait until later but they open and close while both of my parents are at work so unless I wanted to pay for a taxi; there really was no other option. After I got home and got ready for the day. I applied for jobs at Target and Old Navy, picked up applications for Starbucks, Jo-Ann Fabric's and Micheals. Went to the post office, Verizon to get a new phone, got my ID card for the club house where I live and car decal to get into the gate. It was rather exhasting.

On more positive note I love my new phone, thanks mom for the early b-day present. Black Baby is looking much better as well they even buffed out her head lights. Day 3 of TMD is now over Day 4 has begun. It's pretty hard I'm not going to lie but I'm persevering, once I get through today I know I can make it... Seriously if I can drink the Master Cleanse lemonade for 10 day oh wait was it7, 8 or 10 well either way I think I can make it 10 days w/o dairy, starch and sugar. Today I'm off to return applications possibly pick up some more then visit my Aunt Jane who lives in New Port Richie she's been in the hospital recently. For those who've heard my speak about her she's the one that comes at Thanksgiving time... :D

It'll All Work Out

Today was a day. I got my GPS today, well I drove to pick it up at the warehouse... As far as "The Maker's Diet" (TMD) Day one is quickly coming to an end and shall be granted as a success!! I ate more vegetables today then I have in the whole last month. Sad but true... It was a bit harder then I though but this phase only has 13 more days :D then it's not as restrictive.

As far as jobs go I think I'll pick up applications tomorrow and hand them in Monday. Ideally I would like to work at Target but tonight I was in there and I overheard two employees talking and they said that they're cutting back everyones hours... so, I'm thinking that it might not work out there. As soon as I walked outside I noticed how beautiful the sky looked and it simply reminded me that God's in control, I'll get a job in his perfect timing at whatever place it is.

Tired & Secretly Jealous

The last few days have been a blur of good food, sleep and traveling. I'm very sick of traveling and glad to be back in Tampa. Black Baby will be in the shop until Monday; translation (I'm stuck in the house for the next 2 days) but she'll be returned to me after a payment of $500 in tip top shape, she even got her headlights buffed out ;)

Something new, tomorrow I will officially begin.... "the Maker's Diet" I'm really excited about it. I have the complete support of my parents. They're not really going to quite follow it w/ me but they are definitely behind me 100% They are committed to buying more organic food :D The other really awesome thing is that the first two phases take 29 days and I have exactly 31 days until July 1st when I come back for Katie & Blake's wedding!!! Yay, it's a great point for marking my progress. I'll definitely keep you up to date!


So, today is the Day!!!! May 30th when "Sex and the City" the movie comes out. I'm assuming which does make an ass of u and me that a number of my friends and people all over America are going to the movie today/ tonight and I'm kind of jealous. I'll probably see it on Monday at the matinée time right after I pick up an application, b/c I don't have a job... lol it'll be my first movie by myself but that's ok I think this New Tampa Life (NTL) is going to have a lot of first in it :p

I just want to say thank you to everyone who's called, texted, sent messages. Sorry, I've been unavailable this last week, I really feel the love! I miss and <3>

mid-west or bust!

I've been in Illinios for about 3 days now. It's nice here, visiting w/ my grandparents and family. Nothing too eventful, the flights were ok to get here but b/c my dad booked them I ended up in the middle seat twice. That was loads of fun!! :D

On Saturday my G-ma and I went to 4 different stores looking for a collectors folder to hold the special quarters one from each state. We could find what we were looking for below $12 :( If anyone knows anything about these lemme know, plz!

In just a few min, my dad and I are going to drive to Kansas (8 hour drive). It should be good!! :D

Day Numero Dos

So, one of my biggest goals for today well; yesterday was to apply for jobs.... I didn't get it done. Instead I got an estimate on my car ($1000), went to Wild Oats love it!! Stopped by the bank, stopped by school, dropped my books on tape then went to target. All of that took my from 1:30-8pm. As for the job search I guess I'll get to that once I get back next week... Seriously, why am I in rush?

Dang, I'm tired! I just fell asleep typing this, Oh I have to get up in 3 hours :(

Day 1

Today was good, long but good. Nothing very eventful; I contacted the insurance company, unpacked my car that took an hour, then spent the rest of the day unpacking. Their was only one casualty from the move. My new silver piggy bank. Sad, I know. I just opened the car door and it fell out to it's death on the driveway.













Yesterday, I forgot to mention these creepy cow billboards that were on the side of I-75. There were probably 5-10 different ones w/ the same freaky cow on them. Not only are they way sketchy, it's hard to distinguish the cows face. Seriously what is up w/ this cow and who authorized it to be printed. They need to take a basic consumer behavior class and see what people are really drawn too. Just to give them a hint, that those billboards just aren't it!

I guess that it's tomorrow is going to be a full day w/ a trip to the car repair place, job applications, errands, and packing for my trip out west.

The Drive

So, I've arrived after nearly 13 hours of traveling. The drive was long but time seemed to pass quickly; yet my destination continued to seem so far out of reach. Right in the middle of the drive I sadly got myself into a minor car accident. Everyone involved was fine, black baby (my Jetta) gotta a little roughed up though. She decided that her lane was not enough and that she needed to venture into the lane next to us. Unfortunately for us there was a burgundy Crown Vic there and we had a little bumpy bump. After the cop came and we handled the accident stuff I called my parents to let them know, honestly they handled it amazingly. I was more distraught/ upset then my parents (all 4 of them) put together.

The burrito made it!!!! I've taken it down other then that, black baby is still all packed up. I decided to unpack my her tomorrow, why do today what you can just put off until tomorrow. Besides the prospect of being a sleep at 10ish seems magical. I'll attach some pictures tomorrow...
